On Tuesday, 28 beer brewing tanks arrived from Germany at the Port of Charleston. The tanks are destined for Mills River, N.C., where Sierra Nevada is in the process of buiding a new beer brewing facility. The company chose to order the thanks from Germany in order to keep production as consistent as possible from one facility to the next.

The company chose to order the thanks from Germany in order to keep production as consistent as possible from one facility to the next. Bill Manley, the company's director of product development, said,

"Our brewery in Chico, Calif., has the same equipment and we want to make sure with this new brewery that the dimensions of the tank and the make of the tank is the same that we have in California. We're trying to match the flavor profiles of the beers from both breweries."
