NFRA Celebrates June Dairy Month With 'Ice Age' Promotion

Consumers can expect “mammoth” promotions in the refrigerated dairy aisles this June as NFRA celebrates the 10th annual June Dairy Month with a tie-in to Fox’s theater release of Ice Age: Continental Drift on July 13, 2012. This year’s theme, Dairy Keeps Your Herd Healthy, tells shoppers that a healthy lifestyle for the whole family can begin in the dairy aisle.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (NFRA) — Consumers can expect “mammoth” promotions in the refrigerated dairy aisles this June as NFRA celebrates the 10th annual June Dairy Month with a tie-in to Fox’s theater release of Ice Age: Continental Drift on July 13, 2012. This year’s theme, Dairy Keeps Your Herd Healthy, tells shoppers that a healthy lifestyle for the whole family can begin in the dairy aisle.

“Promoting the health benefits of refrigerated dairy is a perfect message for today’s consumer. Combined with the popular Ice Age characters, it’s a double attraction for customers to shop the dairy aisle,” said Skip Shaw, President and CEO of NFRA.

The blockbuster franchise continues in Ice Age: Continental Drift as Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences—a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these earth-shattering upheavals, Sid reunites with his long lost family, and the gang encounters a ragtag menagerie of colorful new characters determined to stop them from returning home.

Consumers can find valuable coupons in the Sunday, June 3, FSI dropping in 30 million newspapers across the country. The FSI features the Ice Age characters encouraging consumers to enter the $10,000 Mammoth Money Sweepstakes hosted on NFRA’s EasyHomeMeals.com website.
