There has been a boom in bourbon brands, as well as a wealth of new styles being produced. Unique bourbons are becoming available, including barrel-aged and sea-aged varieties. Andrew Abrahamson, general manager of the Seven Grand Downtown LA whiskey bar, says bourbon is becoming "really cutting edge." Abrahamson says:
"The biggest thing right now is people are looking to stand out. Before it was all about brand loyalty. Now, the consumer base is looking for something new, something different and something really cutting edge."
