Coconut Water Plant May Fall into Wisconsin

Two Rivers, Wis., will be the home to Danny's Deliriously Delicious Coconut Water and Increase Energy drink if a Manitowac businessman gets his way. He estimates the plant could bring up to 200 jobs to the area and may start operations by the end of 2014.

TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) — A Manitowoc businessman and co-principal of Paragon Partners wants to bring a bottling plant to Two Rivers.

Dan Wergin says the plant for Danny's Deliriously Delicious Coconut Water and Increase Energy drink may open by the end of this year at the former Paragon manufacturing plant.

Wergin tells HTR Media the beverages are currently produced at a Mexican bottling plant and distributed in the U.S., but additional production capacity is needed.

After initial production starts up, he estimates the plant will bring up to 200 jobs to Two Rivers.

The Manitowoc County Loan Review board gave Wergin and his partner a $250,000, 10-year loan to help acquire the building. Two Rivers is reviewing another $750,000 loan, and Paragon Partners is putting $1.15 million toward the $2.15 million purchase price.
