Six months after Pepsi floated the return of its long-defunct clear soda, Crystal Pepsi is poised to end its 22-year hiatus.
But fans of the soda — which made a short-lived appearance on store shelves in the early 1990s — will need to catch a break in order to experience it.
Pepsi on Tuesday invited customers to enter a sweepstakes via its Pepsi Pass mobile app or at Pepsipass.com between Dec. 11 and 12.
Entrants could win one of just 13,000 six-packs of Crystal Pepsi in a drawing next week. The soda would then be shipped to winners in time for Christmas.
The contest is just the latest in a slew of nostalgia brands resurrected in recent years, including rival Coca-Cola's reintroduction of Surge, its '90s-era answer to Mountain Dew, last year.
