RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Sabra Dipping Co. is planning an $86 expansion of its plant in Chesterfield County that will create 140 jobs.
Gov. Bob McDonnell announced the expansion Tuesday in a news release. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2014.
The New York-based snack dip maker also opened a new research and development facility in the county on Tuesday. McDonnell says the Center of Excellence facility will further increase the plant's production capabilities.
McDonnell approved a $350,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund and a $500,000 performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership program for the project.
