SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) — A Pennsylvania company that makes parts for power generation equipment is opening a new plant in Summerville, investing almost $8 million and creating 45 jobs.

The South Carolina Department of Commerce said Tuesday that Innovative Machining Technology is opening the new facility to make parts for equipment such as gas turbines and nuclear and hydrogen generators.

The plant is expected to be in operation early next year.
