Camfil Farr, the world's leading manufacturer of air filtration products, has awarded the prestigious 5-Star Energy Cost Index (ECI) Energy Award to the IBM Bromont plant.
IBM Canada received this award in recognition of its ongoing commitment to improve air quality in its facilities while significantly reducing its energy consumption and the amount of waste resulting from filter replacement. With its selection of greener products, IBM Canada joins the elite 20 percent of Camfil Farr's global clients who are seeking innovative energy efficiency solutions.
The IBM Bromont plant, which opened in 1972, is recognized both nationally and internationally for its cutting-edge assembly of semiconductors for the entire range of IBM products and those of its international partners.
Presented by Territory Sales Manager Pierre-Luc Turcotte and Quebec Regional Sales Manager Yves Laperrière from Camfil Farr Canada, the award recognizes IBM Canada's efforts to ensure continuous improvement, reduce energy consumption, improve air quality for its employees and reduce waste. Supported by the Camfil Farr staff, the proposed solution has enabled IBM Canada's Bromont plant to reduce the energy consumption of its HVAC systems by 20 percent over five years.
Camfil Farr's Pierre-Luc Turcotte and Yves Laperrière presented the award to Alain Gagnon, Senior Technician/Reliability Engineer and Jean-Pierre Boulianne, Advisory Engineer/Energy Coordinator.
