ELOY, Ariz. (AP) -- The slumping housing market has led to the closure of the Owens Corning insulation manufacturing plant in Eloy.
The Casa Grande Dispatch reports 40 people are losing their jobs at the central Arizona plant that operated for 15 years.
The company is also closing other operations due to the slow economy.
Owens Corning manufactures insulation, roofing, masonry and asphalt products for residential and commercial buildings.
When asked how long the Pinal County plant will be closed, a company spokesman said "indefinitely."
