Kraft CEO Makes First Visit To Cadbury Base

Chief Executive Irene Rosenfeld has made her first visit to British chocolate maker Cadbury to meet management and employees.

LONDON (AP) -- Kraft Chief Executive Irene Rosenfeld has made her first visit to British chocolate maker Cadbury's historic base in Bourneville, England, to meet management and employees.

Kraft said Rosenfeld's visit Friday was to review progress made since Kraft bought the British chocolate manufacturer in an 11.5 billion pound ($18 million) deal in February.

Kraft did not publicize Rosenfeld's visit to the Bourneville factory. The American CEO had been criticized during the battle for 195-year old Cadbury for not coming to Britain to see the company's operations in person.

Kraft says Friday's factory tour was a "good and positive visit."
