HOUSTON -- HPI, a supplier of turbine control solutions and turnkey power plants, has acquired Turbine Generator Control Specialist (TGCS). TGCS specializes in repairs, modifications, control systems, and evaluations of turbines.
As part of the acquisition, TGCS services will now be available exclusively through HPI. The acquisition also gives TGCS access to the global HPI client base in the energy and utilities markets.
Jim Vines, President and CEO of TGCS, will lead the HPI Mechanical Group and train HPI engineers in diagnostics and maintenance on older turbines.
“The addition of TGCS is an important addition to our business as it expands the depth and breadth of the HPI Mechanical Group”, says Hal Pontez, President and CEO of HPI.
"The expanded HPI Mechanical Group can offer operating companies and utilities a complete solution, from initial diagnostics to repair, maintenance and control upgrades," Vines added.
