SACO, Maine (AP) — General Dynamics says it plans to hire about 30 more employees and invest more than $5 million in new equipment at its armaments plant in Saco.
The plant, which now employs 365 people, recently won a contract valued at up to $36.6 million for machine guns used on ground vehicles.
The new contract is scheduled to run through 2009, with deliveries expected to begin in April.
