Weyerhaeuser Closing British Columbia Mill

Logging company shuttering saw mill in December as it boosts investments to modernize plant in Princeton.

NEW YORK (AP) — Logging company Weyerhaeuser Co. said Tuesday it will shutter a British Columbia saw mill in December and boost production at a second plant.

The company did not say how much it would cost to close the Okanagan Falls mill or how much it expected to save each year.

Weyerhaeuser will boost investment at its plant in Princeton as part of a plan to ''modernize'' the facility.
