Pfizer To Build Biotech Manufacturing Center In Ireland

Facility will be built on Pfizer's 28-acre site in Shanbally, Cork, and include production facilities, laboratories and offices.

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday it received a contract from Pfizer Ltd., a U.K. branch of pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc., to build a clinical biotech manufacturing center in Ireland.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The facility will be built on Pfizer's 28-acre site in Shanbally, Cork, and include production facilities, laboratories and offices.

Jacobs will begin construction in September with completion set for late 2009.
