Grainger, a provider of facility maintenance products, announced Tuesday the opening of its first facility in China in the Shanghai suburb of Minhang.
The company will warehouse approximately 20,000 products for multiple industries including electrical, lighting, test and instruments, pneumatics, material handling, safety and HVAC. A catalog and website have also been created in Chinese to make it easier for customers to find what they need.“As global and local businesses grow in this country, they need suppliers they can rely on to provide them with a broad range of quality products when and where needed.” said Chairman and CEO Richard L. Keyser.
Grainger also has a customer service center located in central Shanghai that offers sales consultation on the local level.
