PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017: Looking For Skilled Employees? Hire Your Heroes!

Veterans’ Employment and Training Service will have a presence at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017.

In an effort to connect veterans with employers in need of a skilled workforce, PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Sept. 25–27; Las Vegas Convention Center) welcomes the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) (Booth S-8000P) to its PMMI Education and Workforce Development Pavilion.

VETS will take an active role during the NextGEN Networking Fair Sept. 25 from 2–4 p.m., which offers a one-of-a-kind matchmaking opportunity for PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO 2017 exhibitors and attendees to connect with the emerging workforce. With so many talented and skilled veterans out of work, this event is the perfect opportunity for employers to connect with these qualified veterans and guide them into careers in the packaging field.

“As the packaging industry continues to face challenges in finding skilled and qualified workers, this group will spread the message that many veterans have highly transferable skills that could be very valuable to employers in the industry,” says Stephan Girard, director of education and workforce development, PMMI.

With a network of regional offices throughout the country, VETS assists veterans, reservists and National Guard members in securing employment. They are the nationally recognized leader in helping veterans, service members and spouses find good jobs, and preparing them for meaningful careers. VETS provides them with employment resources and expertise, protects their employment rights and promotes employment opportunities via job boards for former military job seekers and employers.
