A St. Louis-area technology company reportedly plans to close its facility near Dallas and lay off 156 workers this summer.
The Dallas Morning News reports that World Wide Technology notified the Texas Workforce Commission that job cuts in Lewisville, Texas, would take place in July. Details about the closure were scant, but the company cited "market conditions" in its letter to Texas labor authorities.
WWT provides technology services, including security, networks and data analytics, to the manufacturing, financial, energy, health care, retail and government sectors. The paper noted that Boeing, Dell and AT&T were among its customers.
The company employs more than 4,000 workers at dozens of major locations worldwide.
