Detroit Snack Brand Sues Cannabis Processor for Trademark Infringement

A side-by-side comparison of the logos shows several strong similarities.

A well-known Detroit-based snack foods brand has sued a cannabis processor for trademark infringement.

According to Crain’s Detroit, Better Made has accused IVP Holding, which does business as House Brands Distro, of knowingly copying its logo.

House Brands Distro processes Better Smoke cannabis flower brand and sells it across the state of Michigan.

Many of the dispensaries that sell Better Smoke products were also named in the lawsuit.

A side-by-side comparison of the logos shows several strong similarities in shape, color and typeface.

Better Made claims the similarities could cause confusion among consumers and potentially tarnish the snack food company’s brand.
