IDEAL IR Thermometer

The 61-685 Infrared (IR) Thermometer provides a non-contact way to capture the surface temperature of mechanical equipment, electrical breakers, and building systems from a distance, allowing preventive diagnostics to be performed while machinery and circuits are in operation, says the company.

IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. (Sycamore, IL) is bringing enhanced safety to technicians with its 61-685 Infrared (IR) Thermometer, the non-contact way to capture the surface temperature of mechanical equipment, electrical breakers, and building systems from a distance, allowing preventive diagnostics to be performed while machinery and circuits are in operation, says the company. The IDEAL IR thermometer lets users measure live circuits or moving parts from a comfortable distance to create a safer work environment. Completely portable, the 61-685 delivers performance characteristics typically found in more expensive thermometers, according to the company. In addition to its 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, it provides a temperature range of -76 to 932 degrees F, and a built-in laser pointer to identify the center of the measurement area.
