SICK (Minneapolis, Minn.) has launched its MPA magnetic positioning sensor with analog outputs. These sensors feature an analog current from 4 to 20 mA and a voltage between 0 and 10V, which, according to the company, offers between positioning performance. SICK also claims the MFA sensors are idea for detecting piston movements in pneumatic cylinders, and for positioning pneumatic drives. Features include:
- Measuring lengths from 107 to 1,007 mm.
- A rugged IP 67-rated aluminum housing that can be mounting on various cylinders, including T-slot, round and tie rod.
- A teach pad and a 4-color LED display and several mounting accessories.
- Few blind zones and a long service life.
