Does office life often leave you too tired to push your own chair? One automaker has created the perfect solution: the Intelligent Parking Chair. In an attempt to spread the word about its vehiclesβ intelligent park assist technology, Nissan has adapted the tech for office environments.
Four cameras installed around a conference room or office would track the chairsβ locations and monitor routes back to the chairsβ assigned spots. At the end of a meeting, a simple hand clap would send the chairs back to their desired locations, courtesy of rollers capable of 360-degree turns. So far, there is no word on what would happen to the chairsβ occupants during a mid-meeting round of applause.
SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Is Nissan taking autonomous tech too far? How do you think self-parking technology could be utilized in a manufacturing setting?
