With recent news of the Slovakian company AeroMobil announcing plans to begin selling a flying car in 2017, it seems humanity’s dream of a flying car will finally come true. But we almost had our flying cars decades ago.
In this flashback, inventor Paul Moller invited CBS News to witness a test flight of his flying car, the M200X. The vehicle had been proven to work when piloted by remote control, but this time Moller hoped into the cockpit himself for a manned flight.
