SP Industries (Hopkins, MI) introduces the D-Series Industrial Compactor and Precrusher series for wood waste applications. This compactor depends solely on compaction force –approximately 150,000 lbs – to break down waste wood products. When wood waste is combined with other industrial waste streams (i.e. cardboard, distribution packaging, etc.), the D-Series can consistently pack between 8 -12 ton loads in a 40-yard compaction container.
With a heavily reinforced precrush gate and twin 7” cylinders capable of 155,000 lbs. of force, this precrusher removes as much air as possible from scrap pallets, shipping crates, scrap furniture, etc., providing consistent loads of 7-9 tons of (strictly) wood waste in a 40-yard container.
Applications include transfer stations and heavy commercial/industrial manufacturing, packing and/or distribution facilities. Safety standards for this equipment can be referenced in the ANSI Z-245 Safety Standards for the Waste & Recycling Industry.
