Model 600 Robotic Packer for Flexible Packages

The Model 600 offers maximum flexibility to run multiple package styles with a variety of infeed options, making this machine a good choice for packagers looking to upgrade from hand packing or moving from another package style.

A-B-C unveiled the first of a line of robotic packers for flexible packages, a natural extension of the company’s line of pick and place bottle packers. This new line of packers will supply the growing flexible packaging market.

“As a supplier of robotic-style pick and place bottle packers for over 40 years, A-B-C has the package handling and experience to help packagers choosing the source reduction and environmental benefits of flexible packaging,” said Mark Reichert, president of A-B-C Packaging.

The Model 600 offers maximum flexibility to run multiple package styles with a variety of infeed options, making this machine a good choice for packagers looking to upgrade from hand packing or moving from another package style. It is equipped with a high payload 2-axis robotic arm that can be programmed for virtually any packing configuration. The operator station offers complete control in a clear and concise interface, including setup, operation, real-time and historical status reports, maintenance alerts, and fault detection for troubleshooting.

Changeover can be completed quickly by new product/pack selection at the operator station and quick-change tooling reduces downtime for adjustments. Typical changeover time is less than 10 minutes. The Model 600 is offered in painted steel construction with high visibility, interlocked guard doors. A washdown model is available in stainless steel with washdown-rated components.
