Terra Universal Introduces IsoDry™ Desiccator Cabinets
Fullerton, CA – New from Terra Universal are their IsoDry Desiccators cabinets, designed to increase efficiency of low relative-humidity storage. This patent-pending design features a gas dilution module that automatically mixes internal air with nitrogen, or other process gas, to reach the programmed set-point.
When doors are opened, the system’s sensor initiates a high-flow nitrogen purge to restore the desired percent humidity level. Once set-point is achieved, the nitrogen purge stops. Nitrogen is mixed with chamber air, diluting it so that relative humidity drops. This system reduces recovery time, preserving materials sensitive to moisture, as well as the supply of nitrogen needed for operation.
Relative humidity levels are kept uniform by the IsoDry Gas Dilution module, and in all chambers within a single cabinet. RH set-point can be monitored and modified via an LED control panel. Status alerts effectively notify users of gas line low pressure issues, or door left ajar, resulting in extended high purges.
