Spiroflow Systems, Inc. offers a variety of accessories to help compacted or otherwise difficult materials flow from bulk bags at less cost and using less space. According to the company, massagers for bulk bag dischargers/unloaders can move 95 percent of compacted or otherwise difficult to discharge material from bulk bags through an ‘earth-quaking’ treatment. The three types of massagers offered are:
- Side massagers, which can be moved vertically to ascertain the optimum position (usually within the lower one-third of the bag).
- Base massagers, which are used to break up material that has been compacted across the base of the bag.
- Corner massagers, which ensure that the maximum solid lump breaking forces are applied from opposite cross corners and ensure that all four corners of the bag are completely emptied.
