Clear Edge To Close NY Plants, Move Jobs To OK

Officials say the new facility will accommodate Clear Edge's growing demand for their lines of industrial process filtration products.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa company plans to close two facilities in New York and move up to 180 jobs to a new plant in Oklahoma.

Clear Edge Filtration Inc. announced Wednesday it will close plants in Skaneateles Falls and Moravia, N.Y., beginning in the first quarter of 2013.

The Tulsa World (https://bit.ly/IppOtk ) reports that Clear Edge will build a 175,000-square-foot plant in Greenhill Distribution Center, a 292-acre industrial park near U.S. 169 and 46th Street North.

Clear Edge makes equipment and parts for industrial filtration systems.

Officials say the new facility will accommodate Clear Edge's growing demand for their lines of industrial process filtration products. It also will house a new research and development laboratory.
