Dorner Acquires German Conveyor Manufacturer Geppert-Band

The addition expands Dorner's geographic coverage, continuing its strategy of international expansion.

Hartland, WI-based Dorner Mfg. Corp. — a global provider of design, applications, manufacturing and integration of industrial and sanitary conveyor systems — on Thursday announced the acquisition of Jülich, Germany-based Geppert-Band, a European manufacturer of belt and modular belt conveyors.

Dorner said the addition expands its geographic coverage, continuing its strategy of international expansion. The move follows Dorner opening an office in Burlington, Ontario, Canada in late 2015, and the acquisition of Penang, Malaysia-based flexible chain conveyor maker FlexMove.

“As we continue to see growth internationally the addition of Geppert-Band allows us to better serve the European market,” said Terry Schadeberg, president and CEO, Dorner Mfg. Corp. “Its product offering and capabilities complement our existing strategy, and we’re pleased to welcome them to the Dorner family.”

“We share a lot of similar core values, including a commitment to providing fast deliveries and quality customer service,” said Thomas Blesinger, president, Geppert-Band. “Dorner has a strong reputation in the conveyor market and we’re looking forward to providing our customers with an even wider variety of solutions.”
