Burger King is reportedly preparing to celebrate Halloween by offering its U.S. customers a chance to try a "black burger."
The fast food chain debuted the unique-looking hamburger in Japan. The first iteration of the "Kuro" used bamboo charcoal to create black buns and infused its sauce with squid link.
Last year, Burger King added bamboo charcoal to create a black cheeseburger.
Now, the Kuro appears ready to cross the Pacific.
A company source told Business Insider that Burger King will unveil the black burger at its U.S. locations next month.
The U.S. version, however, will just include the black buns and black pepper beef patty along with A1 Steak Sauce and conventional fixings.
Brave customers looking for charcoal-tinted cheese or squid ink sauce will still need to travel to Japan.
An Associated Press review of the burger last year described its taste as "peppery," and added, "If you can get past the shocking color, it's not bad."
