Federal regulators have extended for three months the review date for Warner Chilcott's delayed-release osteoporosis drug.
The Food & Drug Administration said it needs until Oct 24 to review additional information on Actonel.
Warner Chilcott, based in Ireland, acquired Actonel when it bought the global branded prescription drug business of Procter & Gamble Co.
Shares of Warner Chilcott PLC rose slightly in premarket trading.
