TUPELO, Miss. (AP) — Authorities are trying to determine what led to a shooting at a tire plant in Tupelo.

Tupelo Police Chief Bart Aguirre tells the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/2e9a1tp) that the incident happened Wednesday night at the Cooper Tire manufacturing plant.

Officials say one employee was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Another man, who police say is a person of interest, was taken into custody for questioning. It's unknown if he is the shooter.

Aguirre says responding officers found the victim shot multiple times. No weapon had been recovered as of late Wednesday night.
