SEELYVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Kellogg says it has decided to close a western Indiana snack plant next year in a move to reduce production capacity.

The company says the plant in the community of Seelyville just east of Terre Haute is expected to begin shutting down in February finish closing in September.

Kellogg spokeswoman Kris Charles says about 150 jobs will be affected by the closing decision that was announced to workers on Tuesday.

Charles says the Battle Creek, Michigan-based company determined its U.S. cracker manufacturing network had more production capacity than needed to meet demand.
