SPENCER, W.Va. (AP) — Mustang Survival says it will cease production at a safety equipment plant in West Virginia.

The Parkersburg News and Sentinel (https://bit.ly/29RcI14 ) reports the company said Wednesday it plans to move the Spencer plant's production to a facility in Jacksonville, Florida.

The company has filed a layoff notice warning for up to 70 employees. It plans to maintain shipping, warehousing and repairs in Spencer.

Mustang Survival designs and manufactures aerospace and marine safety and survival equipment. In 2013, the company closed its operations in Elizabeth.
