WALTERBORO, S.C. (AP) — A Chinese company that makes steel balls and ball bearings for automotive and other uses is locating in Colleton County, creating 65 new jobs.

The company, JGBR, announced it is investing more than $7 million in a new plant in Waterboro and will start production later this year.

When fully operational next year, the facility will produce 400 tons of steel balls each year to supply customers in both North and South America.
