YORK, Neb. (AP) — Officials say an animal feed plant that will be built in a cornfield will bring at least 38 new jobs to York.
The York News-Times reports (https://bit.ly/22hoVMH ) that the Pellet Technology USA plant will be located just north of Kroy Industries in north York. The company processes agricultural residue into animal feed. The corn stover used for the process mostly will come from farms within 50 miles of York.
Mayor Chuck Harris said Thursday that "this is a good example of recruiting an identified industrial target which will benefit our farmers and overall community."
