ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Sen. Charles Schumer and Rep. Louise Slaughter will visit a Rochester radio manufacturer that recently secured a major contract with the U.S. Army.
Slaughter's office says the two Democrats will meet Friday with worker at Harris Corporation to announce a push to secure more federal investments.
Harris was recently selected as one of three suppliers for the Army's ten-year, $12.7 billion contract for so-called Manpack radios, which are used to help soldiers across a platoon communicate.
