FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) — Whirlpool Corp. says it's sinking nearly $41 million into an expansion of its dishwasher factory in northwestern Ohio.

The appliance maker says the expansion in Findlay will add 50 new jobs.

The company based in Benton Harbor, Michigan, says the new space is needed to meet strong consumer demand.

The factory in Findlay employs some 2,300 people. They make Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air dishwashers.
