GREENVILLE, Texas (AP) — A Texas standoff involving a stolen 18-wheeler has safely ended with the driver captured.

Officers didn't immediately identify the man detained Wednesday about two hours after the chase began.

A Texas trooper located the missing rig on Interstate 20 near Forney, about 15 miles east of Dallas. The trooper tried to pull the truck over but the suspect drove off, ending up on I-30 and then a service road near Greenville, 45 miles away.

The rig was pulling a trailer for Intrade Industries Inc. It came to a dead end and was stopped for about an hour when an officer in an armored-type vehicle fired into the front windshield.

The man got out with a dog.

Fresno, California-based Intrade Industries didn't immediately return messages Wednesday seeking comment about the rig.
