GALESBURG, Ill. (AP) — Fire officials say they do not yet have a damage estimate for a manufacturing plant outside Galesburg that caught fire in the afternoon.

The (Galesburg) Register-Mail reports (https://bit.ly/1QpJNA5 ) that the call for a fire at a Midwest Awnings Inc. plant went out around 2:30 p.m. on Monday and area fire crews responded. The company has a manufacturing plant in Cameron, which is a few miles from the Galesburg Municipal Airport.

The newspaper reports fire officials couldn't provide a damage estimate later in the day or say if the building was a total loss.

A listed phone number for the company didn't work on Monday evening. An email to the company's president wasn't immediately returned.

The company's website says it serves residential, commercial and industrial customers.
