FRANKLIN, Ky. (AP) — A German-owned automotive parts maker is planning to build a $193.7 million foundry and production facility in Franklin.

The Bowling Green Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1RIm2D0 ) the Fritz Winter North America LP facility expects to bring 343 jobs to the area.

The Simpson County Fiscal Court and Franklin City Commission authorized a memorandum of understanding at a meeting Thursday that helps clear the way for the company's planned 240,000-square-foot facility in Wilkey North Industrial Park.

According to a news release, construction is expected to begin next year.
