LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe has joined the board of directors for Springdale-based Tyson Foods.
The company announced Wednesday that the 68-year-old former state attorney general and legislator had been appointed as one of eight independent members on the 10-member board.
Beebe, a Democrat who left office in January after serving two terms as governor, also serves as an adviser to Arkansas State University and is of counsel to the Roberts Law Firm in Little Rock. Beebe served one term as attorney general and 20 years as a state senator.
Tyson Board of Directors Chairman John Tyson praised Beebe in a statement for his extensive leadership experience, ability to collaborate and for his long-time support of business.
