Two weeks ago, I previewed WeatherTech's Super Bowl 50 ad while reviewing the manufacturer's two previous ads. The ads for 2014 and 2015 carried the same message: American manufacturing is highly important to the company. As expected, the 2016 ad followed the same theme.
Just in case you missed it on game day, take a look here:
For the most part, the majority of the response was, as in the past, a positive reaction to the emphasis on the importance of American manufacturing jobs. Few responses claimed the commercial was "forgettable" or hyprocritical by claiming value of its employees while spending large sums of money on the ad spot.
Take a look at just a few of the numerous social media responses to the ad:
Overall, it seems as though consumers are still impressed by WeatherTech's commitment to American manufacturing and pride in its workers. Will the same message next year still yield the same results, though?
What do you think?
Will the "Made in America" theme get old, or is it a message that bears repeating?
