Friday Food Funnies: How Do You Make an Apple Turnover?

It’s officially August and my mind is automatically thinking ahead to fall. (Yes, already.) In my anticipation of an early fall season, this week’s Friday Food Funnies will surround only foods and beverages found in my favorite time of year.

It’s officially August and my mind is automatically thinking ahead to fall. (Yes, already.)

While summer is full of fun outdoor activities, there’s something about the autumn season that brings a smile to my face.

Perhaps it’s knowing that all the screaming kids on my block will be going back to school soon. And who doesn't love the vibrant hues of yellow, orange and red leaves that fill the trees?

While these are two obvious reasons I love the autumn season, it’s the food that has me anticipating the cooler months ahead.

What’s not to love about pumpkin pie, chai tea lattes, pumpkin coffee, PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!?

In my anticipation of an early fall season, this week’s Friday Food Funnies will surround only foods and beverages found in my favorite time of year. Cheers!

Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
A: Pumpkin Pi

Q: Why was the jack-o-lantern afraid to cross the road?
A: It had no guts!

Q: How do you make an apple turnover?
A: Push it down a hill.

Q: What is a turkey’s favorite dessert?
A: Peach gobbler!

Q: Why did the cranberries turn red?
A: Because they saw the turkey dressing.

A lady was picking through frozen turkeys at a grocery store for Thanksgiving Day, but couldn’t find one big enough for her family. She asked a stock boy,” Do these turkeys get any bigger?”

“No, ma’am. They’re dead,” he replied.
