Editor's Note: Download the audio version below.

Welcome to another episode of Gen Z in Manufacturing, a podcast that asks young people about their journeys in manufacturing, how they intend to influence the industry and what they are looking for from an employer.

For this episode, I welcome Josiah Bondy, a 29-year-old senior product marketing manager for Miter, a software developer that helps construction and field service contractors manage their workforce and field operations.

Bondy holds degrees in communication & digital arts and business administration and previously spent nearly five years at Fulcrum, where he worked closely with shops to upgrade tech stacks and apply AI.

In this episode, Bondy discusses:

  • (2:28) Major disconnects between software companies and manufacturers
  • (6:43) How manufacturing ‘storytellers’ can spark more interest in the industry
  • (10:49) Gen Z is wired to embrace change as an opportunity
  • (12:30) Are tech companies building for manufacturing or forcing manufacturing to adapt to them?
