The Andersons Plan Another Ethanol Plant

Company files air permit for possible facility in Crestline, Ohio

The Andersons, Inc. announced Wednesday that they have filed for an air permit in preparation for a potential ethanol plant to be built in Crestline, Ohio.

They are considering a location next to an existing elevator owned by Country Star Co-op, a locally owned grain marketing and farm supply cooperative with 460 members, serving Crawford and surrounding counties.

"We are in the preliminary stages of this project and this location is among several under consideration by the Company," explained Neill McKinstray, The Andersons' vice president and general manager for ethanol.

Previously, The Andersons announced that site preparation has started on a potential ethanol plant in Greenville, Ohio, capable of producing 110 million gallons of ethanol per year. This plant could be operating as early as the first quarter of 2008.

The facility under consideration in Crestline would be of a comparable size and be constructed on a similar timetable. The project is subject to approval by The Andersons Board of Directors.
