Two people have been slightly hurt in a fire at natural gas processing plant in West Texas, near the New Mexico border.

ORLA, Texas (AP) — Two people have been slightly hurt in a fire at natural gas processing plant in West Texas, near the New Mexico border.

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation says the accident happened Thursday morning at the Ramsey plant near Orla.

No cause was immediately released for the fire at the plant owned by Western Gas Partners and operated by Anadarko, based in The Woodlands.

Anadarko spokesman John Christiansen says the estimated 200 people at the plant are accounted for, with two suffering minor injuries. Christiansen says gas lines in and out of the unit have been isolated. The fire has been contained to one area of the plant.

Buses were used to transport plant workers to nearby Carlsbad, New Mexico, as a precaution.

Traffic was being rerouted from U.S. 285 near the plant.
