Harcros Chemicals Inc., a chemical distributor and manufacturer, has become a strategic partner with Emisshield, Inc; the manufacturer of high emissivity ceramic coatings.
Emisshield licensed this technology from NASA who used the principle of Emissivity in the space program to both prevent thermal shock and to re-radiate heat away from the spacecraft. Today this coating has expanded its applications to the petrochemical industry by increasing heat transfer in processes such as: fired heaters, boilers, and incinerators.
With over 30 distribution locations in the United States, as well as manufacturing facilities in the U.S. India and China; Harcros focuses on refineries and petrochemical plants. With this partnership Harcros will bring space technology to this industry that will increase production, optimize energy efficiency, and decrease maintenance costs for plants throughout the U.S.
