In New York, US ethanol producers are looking for new markets to take the place of China and Brazilwho had traditionally absorbed 40 percent or more of exports volume, with opportunities potentially arising in India and Mexico as well as Africa and Asia, but if they don’t pan out at the levels required then production will have to be pared down. Ethanol prices have fallen to a two-year low while exports in September were the smallest in about a year.
