According to maritime news sources, the stranded vessel, called Chemroad Journey, was on its way to China when it struck rock in a shallow area about 28 nautical miles from Phu Quy island. The vessel suffered several breaches in its hull and ballast tank areas and is listing at 15 degrees. The vessel was carrying 27 crew members, but there have been no reports of injuries.
