VW Needs 1,000 Workers in Tennessee

Wages will top out at $33 per hour.

On Saturday, Volkswagen will hold a job fair at its plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. 

The company hopes to hire 1,000 production workers at the assembly facility. 

VW is growing operations to be the North American hub for EV manufacturing and battery pack assembly. 

The company is looking to hire second, third and night shift positions. 

Pay starts at $24.40 an hour, with shift premiums and a quarterly bonus. Wages will top out at $33 per hour. 

The fair will take place from 9am to 2pm at the Volkswagen Conference Center, according to The Pulse.

The job fair will be primarily informational, but candidates who attend can schedule an interview at a later date. 

VW assembles the Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport and ID.4 at the plant, which has more than 4,000 workers at the facility.
